Welcome to Bourke's Books! These Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using our website and eBooks. By visiting bourkesbooks.com or purchasing a book from us, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or purchase our products.
Who We Are
Bourke's Books is a small, family-run children's book press. Patricia Bourke writes our stories for readers ages 3–12; our books are sold as eBook downloads on this site and as paperbacks as well as eBooks on Amazon. You can reach us any time at emailus@bourkesbooks.com.
Our eBooks
When you purchase an eBook from bourkesbooks.com, you're buying a personal-use license to read and enjoy the book — not the copyright or any commercial rights to the story, art, or characters.
You may:
Download and read your eBook on your own personal devices.
Print a personal copy for your own household's use (for example, for a child who prefers paper).
You may not:
Resell, redistribute, rent, or share your downloaded file with anyone outside your household.
Post the eBook file, in whole or in part, publicly online (including file-sharing sites, cloud folders set to public, or social media).
Use the story, characters, or artwork for any commercial purpose, including derivative works, without written permission from Bourke's Books.

Purchases
eBooks are sold directly on bourkesbooks.com and delivered as an instant digital download — see our Refund Policy for details on digital purchases.
Paperback copies are sold and fulfilled by Amazon under Amazon's own terms of sale; Bourke's Books earns a small affiliate commission on qualifying paperback purchases made through our Amazon links, at no extra cost to you.
Using Our Website
Please use bourkesbooks.com respectfully and lawfully. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the site, copy its content for republication, or misuse any form (including the newsletter signup) to submit false information.
Reviews
If you leave a review on a product page, you're granting us permission to publish it on that page (we moderate all reviews before they go live, and we don't publish anything hateful, spammy, or unrelated to the book).
Third-Party Links
Our site links out to Amazon and our social media pages. We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third-party sites.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as our small business grows. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
